1. Understand Membership Privileges & Responsibilities.
2. Agree to the Canadian Club Code of Conduct.
3. Request the Registration Form which we will send you when you contact us at
clubcanadadecolombia@gmail.com . Fill out the Registration Form and send it to the Club at the same gmail address.
4. The executive will review your application and will advise you if you have been accepted to be a member of the Club.
5. If you have been accepted to be a member of the Canadian Club, please desposit your membership fee in the Club Bank account shown in the Registration Form and send a scanned copy of the deposit slip to
clubcanadadecolombia@gmail.com
6. Upon receipt of a copy of the deposit slip we will confirm that you are a member of the Canadian Club.
PRIVILEGES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Participating in activities organized by the association.
· Access to the information contained in the Blog site.
· Networking with other members at events, or through the Blog site.
· Speaking and voting during meetings of the general assembly. · Volunteering to organize events and/or joining the executive team.
Members are responsible for:
· Protecting the integrity of the Association and its membership.
· Protecting the privacy and security of fellow members.
· Complying with the Association’s legal statutes, policies & procedures, and code of conduct.
· Attending meetings of the general assembly (or ensuring to submit a proxy).
· Keeping their membership and contact information current. any additional responsibilities as dictated by Colombian law.
AGREE TO THE CANADIAN CLUB CODE OF CONDUCT:
All members recognize that they act as ambassadors of the Association, and we are all representatives of Canada. We are aware of our responsibility and will never do anything that will misrepresent the Association, reflect negatively on our countries, or give the appearance of acting for personal gain.
We ensure that our public comments, either verbal or written, are not attributed as official comments of the Association.
We recognize that whether serving as an executive or general member of the Association we do not have official capacity or influence with either the Colombian or Canadian governments.
We therefore refrain from commenting on matters relating to immigration, employment or residence permits in either country.As a charitable association, we recognize our social responsibility to the children of Colombia. Members that are in a position to make purchases, or are requesting additional services that have a resource implication for the organization, are urged to be responsible in such requests.
We must all do our best to balance the needs of the membership and our social obligation to the children.
In accordance with our Canadian roots, our policies and activities respect diversity of being, and value differences in opinion and perspective. Although we may disagree with one another, we acknowledge the need for healthy debate, and appreciate that diversity of opinion fosters better ideas and a collective sense of accomplishment.
The events and activities of the organization will align with our mission statement and members are encouraged to participate in our events.We act responsibly when becoming aware of any unprofessional or unethical behavior or wrong-doing by any other member, by reporting it to the executive.
We know that we can take that concern or complaint to the executive without fear of retaliation. When bringing forth a complaint, we do so in strictest confidence, carefully protecting the member and their reputation, until the matter can be resolved. This Code of Conduct is designed to promote and enhance our personal and professional behavior.
If we are found to have breached the Code of Conduct, the Association may withdraw membership privileges and/or take action against us, strictly in accordance with the Association Bylaws.
